US-CERT Publishes Weekly Vulnerability Summary

US-CERT has released the agency-wide Vulnerability Summary for the Week of July 6, 2009. The bulletin reports new vulnerabilities, noted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Vulnerability Database (NVD) for last week. An interesting, and important reported exploitable flaw (to many of our readers) is the rather serious Apple Inc. (NasdaqGS: AAPL) unspecified vulnerability in the smartphone’s operating system which apparently permits remote execution of arbitrary code. The flaw is enumerated within the MITRE CVE as CVE-2009-2315.; visit the US-CERT bulletin page for more information.
